The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lokman Başel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. In the 10th minute Lokman Başel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemil Eryaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cemil Eryaman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lokman Başel's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. If Necat Revnak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eyüp Yöntem acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Veli Sirri. With a little luck, TARFAKOLİK's Eyüp Yöntem got control of the ball when Ferman Durualp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cemil Eryaman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emir Suhan went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lokman Başel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, TARFAKOLİK's Necat Revnak got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 34th match minute, Adanaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veli Sirri to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes TARFAKOLİK got a freekick which was hit by Lütfü Koray. Cemil Eryaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Necat Revnak in the 43rd minute of play. The Adanaspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TARFAKOLİK were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lokman Başel made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Hakkı Dilercan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TARFAKOLİK and the Adanaspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes TARFAKOLİK got a freekick which was hit by Hakkı Dilercan. Şafak Beşer hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. TARFAKOLİK's Mehmet Hamdi Özselen was substituted for Necat Revnak. When Mehmet Hamdi Özselen came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the TARFAKOLİK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Hamdi Özselen couldn't finish the play. Cemil Eryaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hamdi Özselen, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 91 minutes, Ferman Durualp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adanaspor and the TARFAKOLİK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of TARFAKOLİK booed when Adanaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferman Durualp didn't get a good kick on the ball.
