Abdi Mehmet Hasankeyf's late challenge caught a Sarikamis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ayberk Cevher was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Atak Demirel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Vecdi Borlu made a huge save. Vecdi Borlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ekrem Erduran's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Baysal Yörük kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sarikamis's Ertunç Timuroz got a free kick in the 21st minute. Ekrem Erduran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vecdi Borlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salih Özbilge charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salih Özbilge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sarikamis booed when Diyarbakirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salih Özbilge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sarikamis's zone, Atak Demirel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vecdi Borlu came out of the goal and Atak Demirel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haşim Yaban didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Korkutalp Kutlar went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Haşim Yaban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korkutalp Kutlar, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ekrem Erduran made a kick off. In the 60thth minute of the game Atak Demirel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarikamis's Vecdi Borlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Salih Özbilge kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ertunç Timuroz during the 63rd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vecdi Borlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sungurhan Demren hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sarikamis's Songurbey Aksel got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Sarikamis's Vecdi Borlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekrem Erduran in the 94th minute of play. The Sarikamis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sarikamis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
