Ahmet Hakan Temircan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ali Haydar Niğdeli came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Pozanti's Yaşar Kurtaran. But to his dismay, Yaşar Kurtaran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kaan Azim kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, İstanbulFC's Ahmet Haşim Sargınal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cemalettin Seyidhan's late challenge caught a İstanbulFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cemalettin Seyidhan helped the player get up and apologised. Ant Korhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caner Değirmencioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Selmi Peyam came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the İstanbulFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selmi Peyam couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Cemalettin Seyidhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Haydar Niğdeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of İstanbulFC booed when Pozanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamza Ballı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ant Korhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selmi Peyam, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd match minute, İstanbulFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Haşim Sargınal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in İstanbulFC's zone, Yaşar Kurtaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Haydar Niğdeli came out of the goal and Yaşar Kurtaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ant Korhan made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Acun Oğuzalp sent off a good shot on target. Pozanti's Cemalettin Seyidhan got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cemalettin Seyidhan was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Yaşar Kurtaran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ali Haydar Niğdeli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Acun Oğuzalp kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Cemalettin Seyidhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Faruk Işıklı fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pozanti's protests and gave Faruk Işıklı a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Pozanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faruk Işıklı to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Acun Oğuzalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Haydar Niğdeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemalettin Seyidhan in the 68th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, İstanbulFC's goalkeeper Ali Haydar Niğdeli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yaşar Kurtaran. Pozanti's Ant Korhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selmi Peyam in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acun Oğuzalp in the 78th minute of play forced Pozanti's goalkeeper Ant Korhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, İstanbulFC's Selmi Peyam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ant Korhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of İstanbulFC booed when Pozanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faruk Işıklı didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Selmi Peyam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İstanbulFC's Ali Haydar Niğdeli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save İstanbulFC from getting a goal against them. Pozanti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
