With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Haşim Tanyol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hatay FK's İstemihan Ünlem got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Çağlar Keykubad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çağlar Keykubad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mehmet Akif Samet made a kick off. Celalettin Şömel charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
