Sümer Özil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Nazif having to interfere. Kubilay Bera kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ahmet Reha Demirtaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mümtaz Sezai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celil Hastimur's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Mümtaz Sezai skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mümtaz Sezai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Reha Demirtaş in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ahmet Reha Demirtaş made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Talas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Münir Akçakoca to maneuver through the defense. Halil Nazif made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Sümer Özil sent off a good shot on target. Saphane's Sümer Özil came free and shot a quick shot against goal 63 minutes in the game, fortunately Halil Nazif had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After 69 played minutes Saphane got a freekick which was hit by Barlas Ötüken. In the 71st match minute, Saphane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Çağrı Şükür to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Çağrı Şükür during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Mehmet Çağrı Şükür hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Saphane got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Çağrı Şükür. In the 80th minute of the match Ahmet Efe Şener shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mümtaz Sezai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Münir Akçakoca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mümtaz Sezai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute Ahmet Çağrı İribaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil Nazif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ahmet Çağrı İribaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saphane's Sümer Özil got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saphane's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
