Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nuri İplikçi took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Fevzi Akkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tekin Oytun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Nuri İplikçi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merinos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sungurlu SK the free kick. In the 8th minute, Nuri İplikçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sungurlu SK's Vural İlkim got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vural İlkim struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Tekin Oytun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sungurlu SK. Sungurlu SK's Fevzi Akkan got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vural İlkim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tekin Oytun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Sungurlu SK got a freekick which was hit by Hüseyin Can Özsan. If Habib Sökmensu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fevzi Akkan in the 29th minute of play forced Merinos's goalkeeper Tekin Oytun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batı İmralı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuri İplikçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Merinos's Gencay Varan got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Beşir Nedim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tekin Oytun skillfully saved the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Vural İlkim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merinos's Tekin Oytun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vural İlkim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tekin Oytun having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Merinos's goal looked a bit too open when Vural İlkim came free, but Tekin Oytun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Merinos got a freekick which was hit by Arda Baybars Arkın. Tekin Oytun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vural İlkim in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Vural İlkim made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Vural İlkim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sungurlu SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vural İlkim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tekin Oytun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Merinos's Tekin Oytun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Merinos from getting a goal against them. After 66 minutes, Necip Ongun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sungurlu SK and the Merinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Merinos booed when Sungurlu SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necip Ongun didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fevzi Akkan got free with Tekin Oytun in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 minutes, Ali Berkant Davarcı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merinos and the Sungurlu SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fevzi Akkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tekin Oytun having to interfere. Tekin Oytun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vural İlkim in the 89th minute of play. After 96 minutes, Sergen Hattat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merinos and the Sungurlu SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th match minute, Merinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergen Hattat to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute of the match Beşir Nedim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tekin Oytun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sungurlu SK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
