The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arif Buğra Turkay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Özer Rahim made a huge save. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yildirim's goalkeeper Özer Rahim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Özer Rahim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agah Ulusu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The Ankaraspor ANK fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Ankaraspor ANK's Şerafettin Adıbelli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agah Ulusu in the 22nd minute of play forced Yildirim's goalkeeper Özer Rahim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yildirim's Özer Rahim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agah Ulusu in the 28th minute of play. Özer Rahim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agah Ulusu in the 31st minute of the match. Özer Rahim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buğra Tüney in the 32nd minute of play. If Agah Ulusu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ankaraspor ANK's Agah Ulusu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ankaraspor ANK's Agah Ulusu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Özer Rahim. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. 42 minutes into the match, Ankaraspor ANK's Agah Ulusu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Özer Rahim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Şerafettin Adıbelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Agah Ulusu made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Agah Ulusu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ankaraspor ANK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agah Ulusu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Yildirim defense, Agah Ulusu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özer Rahim. The Yildirim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özer Rahim should have stopped the shot. Şerafettin Adıbelli scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Özer Rahim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agah Ulusu in the 71st minute of play forced Yildirim's goalkeeper Özer Rahim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Yildirim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caner Akgündüz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ankaraspor ANK booed when Yildirim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sufi Tarancı didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Şerafettin Adıbelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Özer Rahim. Yildirim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Şerafettin Adıbelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Agah Ulusu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özer Rahim having to interfere. Agah Ulusu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Agah Ulusu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özer Rahim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Şerafettin Adıbelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özer Rahim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agah Ulusu in the 97th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ankaraspor ANK had played much better football throughout.
