After 6 played minutes galata got a freekick which was hit by Alp Zekeriya. galata's Temel Ulukut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muzaffer Öztaylan in the 8th minute of play. İhsan Sekib kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Nizam Pehlivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sait Belek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes galata got a freekick which was hit by Nizam Pehlivan. If Hikmet Nasrullah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Temel Ulukut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muzaffer Öztaylan in the 22nd minute of the match. Temel Ulukut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mürsel İltan in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muzaffer Öztaylan in the 25th minute of play forced galata's goalkeeper Temel Ulukut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ahmet Efe Rıdvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nizam Pehlivan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hıncal Dilsafa fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marmaris SK's protests and gave Hıncal Dilsafa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marmaris SK's Hıncal Dilsafa got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Nizam Pehlivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hikmet Nasrullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sait Belek having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Marmaris SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muzaffer Öztaylan to maneuver through the defense. If Ahmet Efe Rıdvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Hikmet Nasrullah made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Hikmet Nasrullah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sait Belek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sait Belek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nizam Pehlivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the game, Ferman Ekvan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marmaris SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave galata the free kick. After a rather tough play, Marmaris SK's Ferman Ekvan got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Hikmet Nasrullah came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the galata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hikmet Nasrullah couldn't finish the play. The supporters of galata booed when Marmaris SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hıncal Dilsafa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nizam Pehlivan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Marmaris SK booed when galata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hikmet Nasrullah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sezen Güdü could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Temel Ulukut made a huge save. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nizam Pehlivan sped through Marmaris SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sait Belek. Marmaris SK's Sait Belek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahtiyar Suer in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. galata had played much better football throughout.
