Dudullu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Genc's Mehmet Edip Suer got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Muharrem Zade came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Genc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muharrem Zade couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Güvenç Ülke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cafer Nejat was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdullatif Kutluay was the one to do the kick off. If Güvenç Ülke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Güvenç Ülke sped through Dudullu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cafer Nejat. Abdulmelik Onat might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cafer Nejat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdulmelik Onat ran back to his position shaking his head. Mehmet Edip Suer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cafer Nejat. Dudullu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
