After 16 minutes, Alkan Ortunc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palu JK and the Kozan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Palu JK's Alkan Ortunc got a free kick in the 16th minute. Behlül Sehrud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdal Turgut in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faruk Baysan in the 21st minute of play forced Palu JK's goalkeeper Behlül Sehrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hasan Yıldızhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Berat Yücel made a huge save. Erdal Turgut kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Nejat Keykavus made a precise shot to the right of Behlül Sehrud. After 46 played minutes Palu JK got a freekick which was hit by Anıl Cenk Fazilet. Kozan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erdal Turgut in the 51st minute. The Palu JK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kozan were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Erdal Turgut made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Nejat Keykavus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Behlül Sehrud. Palu JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nejat Keykavus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Behlül Sehrud successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Kozan booed when Palu JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sezai Sabuncu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faruk Baysan struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Behlül Sehrud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kozan. After 63 played minutes Palu JK got a freekick which was hit by Ercan Yörükoğlu. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palu JK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erdal Turgut was slow to take the kick. During this time Kozan's players had a chance to rest. Yılmaz Secahat was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 72 minutes into the game, Yakut Talayhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kozan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palu JK the free kick. Berat Yücel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasan Yıldızhan in the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Nejat Keykavus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Behlül Sehrud was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 86thth minute of the game Erdal Turgut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palu JK's Behlül Sehrud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Palu JK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Faruk Baysan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Palu JK getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Sezai Sabuncu hit a great ball. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palu JK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erdal Turgut was slow to take the kick. During this time Kozan's players had a chance to rest. Erdal Turgut made a great header on Kozan's corner, it was just that Palu JK's Behlül Sehrud managed to reach the ball for a save. Palu JK's Behlül Sehrud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Palu JK from getting a goal against them.
