After 2 played minutes Cayirli got a freekick which was hit by Cevat Lema. After a defensive mix-up in Cayirli's zone, Olcay Topel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikail Barın came out of the goal and Olcay Topel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cayirli's Cevat Lema pulled a muscle in his back after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 4 minutes into the game, İnanç Küdüs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Göztepe SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cayirli the free kick. İnanç Küdüs kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Nadir Tunçkan fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayirli's protests and gave Nadir Tunçkan a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Cayirli:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Göztepe SK:s goal. Barışcan Sebuktekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atabey Başkaya having to interfere. Olcay Topel's late challenge caught a Cayirli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olcay Topel helped the player get up and apologised. Barışcan Sebuktekin struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Atabey Başkaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cayirli. Barışcan Sebuktekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atabey Başkaya having to interfere. Mikail Barın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Topel in the 34th minute of play. Mithat Tanfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikail Barın having to interfere. Mithat Tanfer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Mikail Barın when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mithat Tanfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikail Barın having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olcay Topel to make the kick off. Olcay Topel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mikail Barın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Göztepe SK's Atabey Başkaya got control of the ball when Barışcan Sebuktekin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Mehmet Satvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cayirli's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Satvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Cayirli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikail Barın should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Göztepe SK's Atabey Başkaya got control of the ball when Barışcan Sebuktekin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 77 played minutes Cayirli got a freekick which was hit by Barışcan Sebuktekin. Atabey Başkaya was a little too slow when Barışcan Sebuktekin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Göztepe SK had won after a very even match.
