The audience thought a goal was coming when Süruri Eski got free with Recep Talha Eldemir in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Doğuş Paksoy fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gelibolu SK's protests and gave Doğuş Paksoy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gelibolu SK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Doğuş Paksoy hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Dursun Ali Seyyid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hürkan Onkal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Gelibolu SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüstem Yağızhan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 44 minutes, Dursun Ali Seyyid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCRİZE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dursun Ali Seyyid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dursun Ali Seyyid to make the kick off. Recep Talha Eldemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yağız Uçbeyi in the 68th minute of play. If Yağız Uçbeyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Gelibolu SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferhat Öktüre to maneuver through the defense. Hürkan Onkal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dursun Ali Seyyid, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute.
