Şansal Yağınalp had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Ceyhun Ocakoğlu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artun Mümtaz in the 43rd minute of play forced Fethiye JK's goalkeeper Şansal Yağınalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Necip Fazıl Çeliker made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Fethiye JK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Artun Mümtaz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fethiye JK's goalkeeper Şansal Yağınalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fikri Özveri went to the wrong direction when Ahmet Davut Vefa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Ortaca getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Namık Ulutekin hit a great ball. Şansal Yağınalp made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Artun Mümtaz sent off a good shot on target. Şansal Yağınalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artun Mümtaz in the 73rd minute. Artun Mümtaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şansal Yağınalp having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Ender Çoğaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şansal Yağınalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bora Karakan during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bora Karakan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fethiye JK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ortaca had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
