The referee ignored Akatlar's protests and gave Okanay Ungan a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Seyhun Akağan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akatlar's supporters rose to their feet, but Seyhun Akağan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cihangir Tanyolaç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Akatlar's Ferdi Keyhüsrev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rıdvan Sonay in the 18th minute of play. When Seyhun Akağan came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Akatlar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seyhun Akağan couldn't finish the play. If Seyhun Akağan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Akatlar booed when Mahmudiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balaban Kani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seyhun Akağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cihangir Tanyolaç having to interfere. Seyhun Akağan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Cihangir Tanyolaç skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th match minute, Mahmudiye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedai Dirsehan to maneuver through the defense. Zülfikar Yücealp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Cihangir Tanyolaç when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Akatlar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mahmudiye were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Seyhun Akağan made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Rıdvan Sonay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ferdi Keyhüsrev. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. When Hulki Çakır fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akatlar's protests and gave Hulki Çakır a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Akatlar's Hulki Çakır got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Akatlar's attentive İsrafil Gazzal managed to snatch the ball when Ulu Savaşer made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. If Rıdvan Sonay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Akatlar booed when Mahmudiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Cengiz Korkut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mahmudiye's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
