If Davut Üner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When İsrafil İskender came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Erzurumspor JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İsrafil İskender couldn't finish the play. If Gürkan Subahi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökberk Sarif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gürkan Subahi in the 31st minute. Gencal Sergen hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Gökberk Sarif was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Berke Saygın capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Berke Saygın really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Davut Üner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aras Görkem İlsak was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. When Yusuf Bahadır Başöz fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berke Saygın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute of the match Orçun Candeğer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gökberk Sarif skillfully saved the ball. Orçun Candeğer's late challenge caught a Erzurumspor JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orçun Candeğer helped the player get up and apologised. Orçun Candeğer kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Gencal Sergen from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Aras Görkem İlsak's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Gölbasi FK's Yusuf Bahadır Başöz got a free kick in the 67th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Erzurumspor JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
