In the 22nd minute, Tepebasi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abay Çelenkoğlu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sertaç Zeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faruk Nafiz Kılıçhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Abdurrahman Beyhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bayındır Çetinoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anıl Ötüken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Sertaç Zeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faruk Nafiz Kılıçhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faruk Nafiz Kılıçhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Tepebasi's goal looked a bit too open when Faruk Nafiz Kılıçhan came free, but Sertaç Zeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sertaç Zeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faruk Nafiz Kılıçhan in the 54th minute of play. In the 70thth minute of the game Abdurrahman Beyhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Davutpasa's Anıl Ötüken was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 81 played minutes Tepebasi got a freekick which was hit by Rüknettin Özol. After recieving a nice pass, Davutpasa's Doğan Reis tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
