GALATASARAY's Faruk Nafiz Gülle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Emre Rahmet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İrfan Canser, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Bogazliyan's goal looked a bit too open when Mecnun Canaydin came free, but Mehmet Emre Rahmet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Mecnun Canaydin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Emre Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Bircan Karadağ was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bogazliyan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GALATASARAY the free kick. Bircan Karadağ hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bogazliyan getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. İsa Işık hit a great ball. Mecnun Canaydin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şimşek Vasif stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Caner Özdek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İsa Işık sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bogazliyan! The goalkeeper, Mehmet Emre Rahmet, was totally fooled by GALATASARAY's Kürşat Kutluay, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Şimşek Vasif kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faruk Nafiz Gülle. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faruk Nafiz Gülle should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Bogazliyan's zone, Atilla Tarkan Samih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Emre Rahmet came out of the goal and Atilla Tarkan Samih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, İrfan Canser made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Emre Rahmet. Bogazliyan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 97th minute Şimşek Vasif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faruk Nafiz Gülle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şimşek Vasif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faruk Nafiz Gülle having to interfere.
