After 12 played minutes Kiziltepe FK got a freekick which was hit by Anıl Baran Melik. Aydemir Kutlutekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Menderes Dönmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Altuğ Makbul blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Menderes Dönmez having to make a save. Aydemir Kutlutekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menderes Dönmez having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Gemlik JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aydemir Kutlutekin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Kiziltepe FK booed when Gemlik JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fehmi Altuncuoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gemlik JK's Hakkı Çakıroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armağan Türkoğlu in the 34th minute of play. Altuğ Makbul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Menderes Dönmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kiziltepe FK's zone, Aydemir Kutlutekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Menderes Dönmez came out of the goal and Aydemir Kutlutekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armağan Türkoğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. Anıl Baran Melik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hakkı Çakıroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Armağan Türkoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Kiziltepe FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armağan Türkoğlu couldn't finish the play. Anıl Berk Ergüvenç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakkı Çakıroğlu having to interfere. If Armağan Türkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Altuğ Makbul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Menderes Dönmez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aydemir Kutlutekin in the 88th minute of the match. Gemlik JK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
