Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mustafa Hamit Kasım started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Hayati Lami managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emirgan's supporters rose to their feet, but Hayati Lami was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oktay Adahan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 3 played minutes Malazgirt FK got a freekick which was hit by Şeray Bucuklu. After a defensive mix-up in Malazgirt FK's zone, Hayati Lami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oktay Adahan came out of the goal and Hayati Lami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hayati Lami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes, Ege Hazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malazgirt FK and the Emirgan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 14 minutes, Hayati Lami managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emirgan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayati Lami was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mustafa Hamit Kasım was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Barlas Mengücek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oktay Adahan having to interfere. Hayati Lami recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hayati Lami in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oktay Adahan saved Malazgirt FK from getting behind. If Barlas Mengücek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hayati Lami recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Barlas Mengücek made a precise shot to the right of Oktay Adahan. Malazgirt FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 46 minutes, Mustafa Hamit Kasım managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malazgirt FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Hamit Kasım was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barlas Mengücek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Hamit Kasım's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emrah Rebi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. If Barlas Mengücek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Emirgan got a freekick which was hit by Bahattin Orsel. Feridun Oyalp charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 70th match minute, Malazgirt FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şeray Bucuklu to maneuver through the defense. Oktay Adahan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barlas Mengücek in the 85th minute of play. Emrah Rebi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Hamit Kasım in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Bahattin Orsel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emirgan and the Malazgirt FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Malazgirt FK booed when Emirgan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bahattin Orsel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Barlas Mengücek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hayati Lami got free with Oktay Adahan in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emirgan were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
