Vefa İlkay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feyzullay Hacıağa went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Baturhan Hatmi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Şevket Oğuzkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Serhat Sönmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Nurkan Karan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YSNGÜCÜ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nurkan Karan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Şevket Oğuzkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gemlik FK's Serhat Sönmez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arkın Dilhun kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Feyzullay Hacıağa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serhat Sönmez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şevket Oğuzkan in the 59th minute of the match. Serter Dursunali struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Vefa İlkay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gemlik FK. Lütfullah Cangun kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Feyzullay Hacıağa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vefa İlkay was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 68th minute Serter Dursunali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vefa İlkay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vefa İlkay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feyzullay Hacıağa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in YSNGÜCÜ's zone, Serter Dursunali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vefa İlkay came out of the goal and Serter Dursunali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nurkan Karan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Feyzullay Hacıağa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vefa İlkay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serter Dursunali, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Feyzullay Hacıağa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gemlik FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Feyzullay Hacıağa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vefa İlkay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The YSNGÜCÜ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing YSNGÜCÜ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
