The referee ignored Aydintepe's protests and gave Güneri Özmert a yellow card for diving instead. Güneri Özmert hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Çağrı Yüce in the 12th minute of play forced Aydintepe's goalkeeper Gani Baştürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Çağrı Yüce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gani Baştürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesur Nuh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ahmet Reha Akkurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aydintepe's Cesur Nuh got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mirza Ongay made the kick off in the second half. Aydintepe's Gani Baştürk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Aydintepe from getting a goal against them. Ardahan Hisarcık received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gani Baştürk came out and tried to block the shot, but Ardahan Hisarcık slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 55th minute. Mehmet Çağrı Yüce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mirza Ongay in the 66th minute of play forced Erenköy's goalkeeper Ahmet Reha Akkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Erenköy's Gani Baştürk threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ardahan Hisarcık, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Aydintepe getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Güneri Özmert hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Çağrı Yüce got free with Gani Baştürk in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aydintepe's Gani Baştürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardahan Hisarcık in the 81st minute of play. Özal Bostan kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, Aydintepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akil Arısal to maneuver through the defense. Aral Hacıbeyoğlu, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Erenköy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
