After a defensive mix-up in Marmara JK's zone, Hakkı Menderes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özden Tanrıverdi came out of the goal and Hakkı Menderes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Derya Ulaç came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Marmara JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derya Ulaç couldn't finish the play. If Hakkı Menderes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marmara JK's Özden Tanrıverdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tansel Ademoğlu in the 11th minute of play. Derya Ulaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Menderes Hakan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hakkı Menderes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Hakkı Menderes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Özden Tanrıverdi. Marmara JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakkı Menderes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Derya Ulaç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marmara JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Derya Ulaç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Menderes Hakan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the game, Şerafettin Necid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boztepe JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marmara JK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Boztepe JK's Şerafettin Necid got a free kick in the 59th minute. Hıdır Kızılaslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Boztepe JK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
