In the 16th match minute, RizeSağirSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerhard Hellum to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Güroymak JK defense, Levent Tümenbay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edip Otay. The Güroymak JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edip Otay should have stopped the shot. The Güroymak JK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RizeSağirSpor were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Atabek Cebe made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, İskender İkbal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RizeSağirSpor and the Güroymak JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Güroymak JK booed when RizeSağirSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. İskender İkbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. RizeSağirSpor's Jarrett Sueur got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
