Thanks to some nice moves Ant Oskan could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Hasan Hüseyin Kocay however easily saved by the left post. If Ant Oskan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes, Gürbüz Budaklı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Körfez and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gürbüz Budaklı hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Ant Oskan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Birol Sabancı came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Körfez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birol Sabancı couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute Ergincan Uluç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şamil Yalçınkaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Birol Sabancı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hüseyin Turan Tuncer hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The Liverpool FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Körfez were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Ant Oskan made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Liverpool FC! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ergincan Uluç got free with Şamil Yalçınkaya in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Birol Sabancı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şamil Yalçınkaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şamil Yalçınkaya made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ergincan Uluç sent off a good shot on target. Liverpool FC's Şamil Yalçınkaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ergincan Uluç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Körfez's supporters rose to their feet, but Ergincan Uluç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şamil Yalçınkaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüseyin Turan Tuncer in the 75th minute of play forced Körfez's goalkeeper Hasan Hüseyin Kocay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Birol Sabancı came free, but Şamil Yalçınkaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Can Tolay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hakan Oruk fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Körfez's protests and gave Hakan Oruk a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birol Sabancı in the 95th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Şamil Yalçınkaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şamil Yalçınkaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birol Sabancı, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
