The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK's Pekin Özluer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Atıf İlkim. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Tophane FC's Atıf İlkim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Tophane FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Tophane FC defense, Mustafa Kemal İlenç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atıf İlkim. The Tophane FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atıf İlkim should have stopped the shot. ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK's Pekin Özluer got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mustafa Kemal İlenç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Mustafa Kemal İlenç managed to get in a good position for a shot. ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Kemal İlenç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atıf İlkim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Şadi Okergun kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Murathan Zevahir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Mustafa Kemal İlenç left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Atıf İlkim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pekin Özluer in the 34th minute of play. Rüştü Ağçelik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Batuğ Ongul was the one to do the kick off. Selmi Baldemir made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Murathan Zevahir sent off a good shot on target. Murathan Zevahir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selmi Baldemir having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Mustafa Kemal İlenç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Kemal İlenç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK's Şadi Okergun got a free kick in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tophane FC's Batuğ Ongul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Selmi Baldemir. That made the score 3-3 after 68 minutes of play. Murathan Zevahir who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Selmi Baldemir when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mustafa Kemal İlenç in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atıf İlkim saved Tophane FC from getting behind. After having played for 82 minutes, Pekin Özluer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ƠƧMƛƝԼƖ SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pekin Özluer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atıf İlkim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pekin Özluer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Batuğ Ongul's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Selmi Baldemir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Pekin Özluer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
