Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aybar Değer kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Lapseki getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Lütfullah Baran hit a great ball. Fethi Otaç's late challenge caught a Lapseki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fethi Otaç helped the player get up and apologised. When Şenol Ziya came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Samsunspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şenol Ziya couldn't finish the play. Batu Sav kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Tuncay Tuğser came free, but Yücel Vecdet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lapseki's Bahattin Olgunsoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Lapseki from getting a goal against them. If Aybar Değer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lapseki's goalkeeper Bahattin Olgunsoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cevdet Hazin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahattin Olgunsoy having to interfere. Aybar Değer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cevdet Hazin to strike the kick off in the second half. Bahattin Olgunsoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cevdet Hazin in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Lütfullah Baran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Şenol Ziya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lapseki's Abdulbaki Nefi got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Şenol Ziya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Şenol Ziya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahattin Olgunsoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aybar Değer struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Yücel Vecdet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapseki. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aybar Değer in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yücel Vecdet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tuncay Tuğser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hafız Gariboğlu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Aybar Değer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuncay Tuğser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Yücel Vecdet made a huge save. Bahattin Olgunsoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şenol Ziya in the 95th minute of play. Lapseki were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
