The supporters of Eyüpspor SK booed when MERSİNAKGENÇLİK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asrın Kubilay didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Arif Cengiz Ağar from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Ulvi İmamoğlu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Asrın Kubilay hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Yıldırım Dinç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eyüpspor SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yıldırım Dinç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 11 in the game by Ahmet Baki Aktaç from a close distance when the talented Ulvi İmamoğlu managed to make a qualified save. MERSİNAKGENÇLİK's players were relieved. MERSİNAKGENÇLİK's Ulvi İmamoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save MERSİNAKGENÇLİK from getting a goal against them. Yıldırım Dinç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Baki Aktaç was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Eyüpspor SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Yıldırım Dinç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulvi İmamoğlu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Yıldırım Dinç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulvi İmamoğlu was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Mustafa Ali Safvetullah kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After the first half MERSİNAKGENÇLİK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yıldırım Dinç to strike the kick off in the second half. If Yıldırım Dinç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Asım Ateşoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. One of MERSİNAKGENÇLİK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Eyüpspor SK:s goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulvi İmamoğlu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 98 minutes into the match, MERSİNAKGENÇLİK's goal looked a bit too open when Yıldırım Dinç came free, but Ulvi İmamoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Eyüpspor SK fully deserved thier win.
