After having played for 4 minutes, Mehmet Edip Lütufkâr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pozanti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Edip Lütufkâr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sungurbey Parshan in the 12th minute of play forced Pozanti's goalkeeper Mikail Açıkalın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Sungurbey Parshan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pozanti's Mikail Açıkalın. Mikail Açıkalın was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Mehmet Edip Lütufkâr came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pozanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Edip Lütufkâr couldn't finish the play. Taha Renan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikail Açıkalın having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Taha Renan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pozanti's Mikail Açıkalın was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Ataol Topel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Atabey's Sungurbey Parshan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikail Açıkalın made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Pozanti's Mikail Açıkalın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sungurbey Parshan in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Ataol Topel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pozanti and the Atabey players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Ataol Topel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Işınay to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Atabey's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Işınay came free, but Fetih Alpaslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Mehmet Edip Lütufkâr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pozanti's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Edip Lütufkâr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fetih Alpaslan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 93rd minute of the match Ataol Topel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ataol Topel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 94th minute, Ataol Topel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sungurbey Parshan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Atabey supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atabey would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
