After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Batı Ataner managed to get in a good position for a shot. HendekSpor's supporters rose to their feet, but Batı Ataner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arif Bilge Tuğsavaş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 24 minutes, Paşa Vatansever managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paşa Vatansever was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Avni Somer fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trabzonspor's protests and gave Avni Somer a yellow card for diving instead. Avni Somer kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Arif Bilge Tuğsavaş, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Batı Ataner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Bilge Tuğsavaş having to interfere.
