In the 3rd minute Bedrettin Ulutan suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Duman Ercan's late challenge caught a İSTANBULLS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duman Ercan helped the player get up and apologised. Baycan İmge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çelebi Batırhan in the 6th minute of the match. Çelebi Batırhan scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baycan İmge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 14 minutes, Nazmi Refet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İSTANBULLS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nazmi Refet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gemlik's Özkan Canbulat got a free kick in the 15th minute. Korcan İrem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Şakir User tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Selahaddin Uraltan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. Baycan İmge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emran Taybars's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Emran Taybars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baycan İmge having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Gemlik's Emran Taybars sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baycan İmge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, İSTANBULLS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emran Taybars came free, but Baycan İmge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The İSTANBULLS FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gemlik were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emran Taybars to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gemlik's goalkeeper Şakir User, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Korcan İrem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şakir User having to interfere.
