In the 4th match minute, Bafra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Songur Hünkar to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Baybora Özbas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haydar Açıkgöz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tahir Cesman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taner Radi got free with Haydar Açıkgöz in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taner Radi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Haydar Açıkgöz made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahir Cesman in the 15th minute of play forced Avcilar's goalkeeper Haydar Açıkgöz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tahir Cesman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Haydar Açıkgöz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Sait Soyurgal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdi Saygın Yağızer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tahir Cesman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haydar Açıkgöz having to interfere. Taner Radi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Taner Radi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Haydar Açıkgöz made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tahir Cesman in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haydar Açıkgöz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 30 minutes, Taner Radi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bafra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taner Radi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Bafra's Tahir Cesman in the 32nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Haydar Açıkgöz was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Avcilar through an amazing save. Taner Radi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute of the match, Taner Radi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Haydar Açıkgöz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tahir Cesman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 41st minute, Songur Hünkar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 42nd minute, Sait Soyurgal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tahir Cesman came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Bafra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tahir Cesman couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sait Soyurgal was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Bafra booed when Avcilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Saygın Yağızer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bafra fans cheered their team off the field, for while Avcilar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
