Süruri Babaoğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erkut Erduran having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğaner Haneci in the 6th minute of play forced Tahtakale FK's goalkeeper Erkut Erduran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koray Ongu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yağız Demirsah having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Koray Ongu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tahtakale FK and the Gerze players grew even worse after the yellow card. Koray Ongu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Tahtakale FK's goalkeeper Erkut Erduran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doğaner Haneci. 17 minutes into the match, Gerze's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Bedri Kiray came free, but Yağız Demirsah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Gerze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veli Tunçtürk to maneuver through the defense. If Koray Ongu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. Yağız Demirsah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 32 minutes, Mehmet Bedri Kiray made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gerze's Yağız Demirsah tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erkut Erduran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süruri Babaoğlu in the 36th minute of play. Mehmet Bedri Kiray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yağız Demirsah having to interfere. The Gerze players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tahtakale FK were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Süruri Babaoğlu made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Koray Ongu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tahtakale FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Koray Ongu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doğaner Haneci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cabbar Şamil charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cabbar Şamil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tahtakale FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Refik Halit Babayiğit shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Fazlı Kazan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Koray Ongu got free with Yağız Demirsah in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erkut Erduran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Süruri Babaoğlu in the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Gerze's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Bedri Kiray came free, but Yağız Demirsah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gerze getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Süruri Babaoğlu hit a great ball. The Gerze fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tahtakale FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
