After a defensive mix-up in Gerze's zone, Abdi Saygın Özaydın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yağız Demirsah came out of the goal and Abdi Saygın Özaydın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Kamber Özaslan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yayladagi FK the free kick. 38 minutes into the match, Yayladagi FK's goalkeeper Gazanfer Yekta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doğaner Haneci. Gazanfer Yekta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süruri Babaoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Doğaner Haneci might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gazanfer Yekta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doğaner Haneci ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Yayladagi FK's zone, Süruri Babaoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gazanfer Yekta came out of the goal and Süruri Babaoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Doğaner Haneci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerze's supporters rose to their feet, but Doğaner Haneci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gazanfer Yekta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Yağız Demirsah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şener Salahaddin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Şener Salahaddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yağız Demirsah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yağız Demirsah came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Yayladagi FK's Abdi Saygın Özaydın. But to his dismay, Abdi Saygın Özaydın quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 66 minutes into the match, Doğaner Haneci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gazanfer Yekta. Yayladagi FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doğaner Haneci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdi Saygın Özaydın got free with Yağız Demirsah in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süruri Babaoğlu in the 76th minute of play forced Yayladagi FK's goalkeeper Gazanfer Yekta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gazanfer Yekta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğaner Haneci in the 79th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gerze had played much better football throughout.
