Köksal Vehbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 minutes, Necat Enginalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malatya FK and the Akcadag players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hayrullah Taykoç's late challenge caught a Akcadag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayrullah Taykoç helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Malatya FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayrullah Taykoç to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Köksal Vehbi got free with Ali Nabi Secaat in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Malatya FK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Mehmet Hamdi İltay hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Malatya FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doğuş Hasanoğlu to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Malatya FK's goalkeeper Ali Nabi Secaat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Köksal Vehbi. Erkin Yatuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ali Nabi Secaat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erkin Yatuk did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ali Nabi Secaat 18 minutes into the match. Erkin Yatuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Nabi Secaat having to interfere. Ali Nabi Secaat made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Köksal Vehbi sent off a good shot on target. Köksal Vehbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erkin Yatuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ali Nabi Secaat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Nabi Secaat came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Akcadag's Köksal Vehbi. But to his dismay, Köksal Vehbi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erkin Yatuk in the 33rd minute of play forced Malatya FK's goalkeeper Ali Nabi Secaat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Necat Enginalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malatya FK's goalkeeper Ali Nabi Secaat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Malatya FK's goal looked a bit too open when Erkin Yatuk came free, but Ali Nabi Secaat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Giray Akyazı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Nabi Secaat. Malatya FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giray Akyazı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hayrullah Taykoç to strike the kick off in the second half. The attack was good, but when Erkin Yatuk in the 60th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Köksal Vehbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ali Nabi Secaat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Erkin Yatuk came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Akcadag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkin Yatuk couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Malatya FK defense, Erkin Yatuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Nabi Secaat. The Malatya FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Nabi Secaat should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Akcadag's Ersan Tanaltan got a free kick in the 70th minute. Köksal Vehbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Köksal Vehbi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Akcadag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Köksal Vehbi couldn't finish the play. Erkin Yatuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Nabi Secaat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Köksal Vehbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ali Nabi Secaat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
