Ekber Yeğin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Göktuğ Irgatbaşı in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Zile getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mehmet Oğuz Selman hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Aybek Özpulat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atahan Hürkan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Şerafettin Safa made a huge save. Yakup Kadri Tanbey kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Halis Azimoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Şerafettin Safa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Göktuğ Irgatbaşı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ekber Yeğin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Yakup Kadri Tanbey hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Atahan Hürkan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Şerafettin Safa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halis Azimoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A collision led to İzmirspor getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sungurhan Tanak hit a great ball. Samim Keskinel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Halis Azimoğlu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zile's goalkeeper Ekber Yeğin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Zile's goalkeeper Ekber Yeğin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Göktuğ Irgatbaşı. The audience was convinced that Halis Azimoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şerafettin Safa was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Halis Azimoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şerafettin Safa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
