Sefa Cambaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Maslak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sefa Cambaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Galatasaray sk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Battal Ehlimen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Galatasaray sk's Refik Halit Taşdan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Battal Ehlimen in the 31st minute of play. Maslak's Battal Ehlimen got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Refik Halit Taşdan made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ümit Sami sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Galatasaray sk's Refik Halit Taşdan got control of the ball when Ümit Sami tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Battal Ehlimen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray sk's Refik Halit Taşdan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Aytuğ Kızıl charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aytuğ Kızıl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Refik Halit Taşdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Battal Ehlimen, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Sefa Cambaz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. In the 60th minute, Sefa Cambaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Maslak's Celal Seciye got control of the ball when Bayezit İslamoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Maslak getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gürsel Sebukalp hit a great ball. Gürsel Sebukalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Refik Halit Taşdan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürsel Sebukalp ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Galatasaray sk booed when Maslak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürsel Sebukalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 69 in the game by Bayezit İslamoğlu from a close distance when the talented Celal Seciye managed to make a qualified save. Maslak's players were relieved. Ümit Sami struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Refik Halit Taşdan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maslak. Refik Halit Taşdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ümit Sami in the 71st minute of play. Refik Halit Taşdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Sami in the 73rd minute of the match. If Bayezit İslamoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celal Seciye made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bayezit İslamoğlu in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ümit Sami in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Refik Halit Taşdan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ümit Sami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ümit Sami scored 1-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Refik Halit Taşdan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
