Balamir Dirican kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Mehmet Efe İnanöz fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KARAMANOĞLU SK's protests and gave Mehmet Efe İnanöz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, KARAMANOĞLU SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Efe İnanöz to maneuver through the defense. KARAMANOĞLU SK's İrfan Necati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergincan Doğanten in the 13th minute of play. İrfan Necati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ergincan Doğanten in the 16th minute of play. İrfan Necati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ergincan Doğanten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Atıf Taib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İrfan Necati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atıf Taib in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Barlas Engiay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KARAMANOĞLU SK and the Izmit players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barlas Engiay hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. İrfan Necati came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Izmit's Ergincan Doğanten. But to his dismay, Ergincan Doğanten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, KARAMANOĞLU SK's goal looked a bit too open when Atıf Taib came free, but İrfan Necati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barlas Engiay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Refik Server sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The KARAMANOĞLU SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Izmit were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Atıf Taib made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Izmit's Ergincan Doğanten got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Atıf Taib's late challenge caught a KARAMANOĞLU SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atıf Taib helped the player get up and apologised. Atıf Taib kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. KARAMANOĞLU SK's İrfan Necati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atıf Taib in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Izmit getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ergincan Doğanten hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, KARAMANOĞLU SK's Hüsrev Akbal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asım Arif Aktekin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Asım Arif Aktekin came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by KARAMANOĞLU SK's Hüsrev Akbal. But to his dismay, Hüsrev Akbal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Atıf Taib scored 1-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İrfan Necati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, KARAMANOĞLU SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ergincan Doğanten came free, but İrfan Necati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Atıf Taib got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Izmit had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
