When Leó Szűcs came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the doludere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leó Szűcs couldn't finish the play. Özalp Timurcan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leó Szűcs in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, doludere's Akif Refi got a free kick in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Aytekin Karin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Özalp Timurcan. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Doğa Dağtekin got a free kick in the 50th minute. Özalp Timurcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytekin Karin in the 54th minute of the match. The corner led doludere's Kuddusî Kadi to fire away a dangerous shot which Özalp Timurcan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğa Dağtekin in the 92nd minute of play forced doludere's goalkeeper Fikret Tanyol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leó Szűcs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Özalp Timurcan having to make a save.
