Hakan Algın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Necdet Hadim having to interfere. Hakan Algın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ahmet Necdet Hadim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Hakan Algın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Halkali SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hakan Algın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Necdet Hadim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hakan Algın took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Necdet Hadim. Ahmet Necdet Hadim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind jon-jon UNİTED's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Hadim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Necmi Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ahmet Necdet Hadim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Pekin Payam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hami Yamanöz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The supporters of Halkali SK booed when jon-jon UNİTED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhsin Rical didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Necdet Hadim made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Hakan Algın sent off a good shot on target. If Necmi Kaplan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
