In the 28th minute, Sivasspor's Cenap Mücip ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bilgin Balkır. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Sungurhan Kalhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1461 Beşikdüzüspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Sungurhan Kalhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sinan Taşkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Acar Talat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sinan Taşkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acar Talat, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Altan Akova stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cenap Mücip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 57 minutes, Acar Talat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1461 Beşikdüzüspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acar Talat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Acar Talat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sinan Taşkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cenap Mücip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Behçet Erdem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sinan Taşkan. Sivasspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Behçet Erdem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 81st minute, Sungurhan Kalhan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sinan Taşkan, passed just outside the right post. Sinan Taşkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acar Talat in the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, 1461 Beşikdüzüspor's Sungurhan Kalhan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. If Sungurhan Kalhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
