The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seyit Eralkan during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 37 minutes, Şemsettin Genişyürek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piranha SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şemsettin Genişyürek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Şemsettin Genişyürek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erkut Böke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erkut Böke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şemsettin Genişyürek's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Şemsettin Genişyürek might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erkut Böke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Şemsettin Genişyürek ran back to his position shaking his head. Chellas FK's Erkut Böke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuna Kazanhan in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Fazlı Kubilay made the kick off in the second half. Piranha SK's attentive Şadi Taha managed to snatch the ball when Özcan Yanaç made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. A collision led to Piranha SK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Anıl Cantekin hit a great ball. In the 58th play minute Şemsettin Genişyürek came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erkut Böke. 1-2. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erkut Böke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Piranha SK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chellas FK throughout the match.
