Genco Derdiyok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Göransson in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, Soma FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman Pakkan to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Mehmet Oğuz Özerdinc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genco Derdiyok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Soma FK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Oğuz Boysel. Vicente Montez struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Genco Derdiyok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MCA United. If Gert Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Semi Mülayim took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dries Windmuller. Dries Windmuller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Gert Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Güntekin Bayman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Genco Derdiyok was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. MCA United's Dries Windmuller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Semi Mülayim in the 27th minute of play. Vicente Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soma FK's Genco Derdiyok proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Soma FK from getting a goal against them. Genco Derdiyok didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Vicente Montez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genco Derdiyok having to interfere. Mehmet Oğuz Özerdinc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gert Göransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genco Derdiyok having to interfere. In the 41st minute, MCA United's Gert Göransson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Akif Ceceli charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akif Ceceli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Akif Ceceli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Vicente Montez made the kick off in the second half. Genco Derdiyok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Montez in the 52nd minute of the match. MCA United's Vicente Montez got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vicente Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Soma FK's Genco Derdiyok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Göransson in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Vicente Montez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MCA United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Montez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gencalp Tapık hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Dries Windmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semi Mülayim in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, MCA United's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Oğuz Boysel came free, but Dries Windmuller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dries Windmuller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arman Pakkan in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Vicente Montez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dries Windmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semi Mülayim in the 77th minute of play. Gert Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Oğuz Boysel during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MCA United booed when Soma FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Oğuz Boysel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th match minute, MCA United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erdinç Mertkal to maneuver through the defense. Dries Windmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Oğuz Boysel in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Vicente Montez managed to get in a good position for a shot. MCA United's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Montez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genco Derdiyok breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Soma FK's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Montez came free, but Genco Derdiyok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MCA United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
