With a little luck, Caglayan FK's Cumhur Tekay got control of the ball when Ahmet Refik Genç tried to sneak it across the goal line. A well placed Ahmet Refik Genç short distance shot in the 19th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 26th minute, Fahrettin Uyaralp had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 26 minutes into the game, Bahadırhan Babacan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Koyulhisar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caglayan FK the free kick. The supporters of Koyulhisar booed when Caglayan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyit Tümkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Yakup Ercan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caglayan FK's Cumhur Tekay didn't even have to move. If Birsel Arınç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Birsel Arınç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cumhur Tekay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Caglayan FK got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Ulukan. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yaşar Ulukan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cumhur Tekay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birsel Arınç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cumhur Tekay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birsel Arınç in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Cahit Yücelay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Refik Genç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Caglayan FK defense, Ahmet Refik Genç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cumhur Tekay. The Caglayan FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cumhur Tekay should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Caglayan FK's goal looked a bit too open when Birsel Arınç came free, but Cumhur Tekay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
