The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esenler FK's Güvenç Yaşanur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serhat Kongar in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serhat Kongar in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Güvenç Yaşanur saved Esenler FK from getting behind. If Altay Akergin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Mansur Akersoy rounded Ezine SK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Altay Akergin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19thth minute of the game Mansur Akersoy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ezine SK's Mete Tunçtürk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ezine SK's Mümin Camcı got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mansur Akersoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mete Tunçtürk having to interfere. Altay Akergin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Altay Akergin struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Mete Tunçtürk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esenler FK. After a defensive mix-up in Ezine SK's zone, Mansur Akersoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mete Tunçtürk came out of the goal and Mansur Akersoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Mansur Akersoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esenler FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mansur Akersoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mansur Akersoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serhat Kongar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güvenç Yaşanur having to interfere. Yavuz Sebati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Güvenç Yaşanur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serhat Kongar to strike the kick off in the second half. Mete Tunçtürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mansur Akersoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Mansur Akersoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Serhat Kongar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güvenç Yaşanur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Anıl Ege Türkol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esenler FK's Seyrani Yağızbay couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ezine SK. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anıl Ege Türkol during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute of the match, Anıl Ege Türkol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Güvenç Yaşanur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Güvenç Yaşanur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volkan Filiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 99 minutes into the match, Esenler FK's goal looked a bit too open when Serhat Kongar came free, but Güvenç Yaşanur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esenler FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
