Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Galatasaray SK's Atilla Tezalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediz Taha in the 3rd minute of play. Atilla Tezalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Görkem Gökalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 9 played minutes Galatasaray SK got a freekick which was hit by Şafak Satıkbuğra. 16 minutes into the match, Erzincan FK's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Sertuğ came free, but Serkan Aktay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Bedih Günaydın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilla Tezalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erzincan FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Mehmet Sertuğ scored to the left of an out of position Serkan Aktay, making the score, 1-0. If Mehmet Sertuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Sertuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Serkan Aktay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uğur Baybora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serkan Aktay having to interfere. Erzincan FK's Serkan Aktay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Sertuğ in the 38th minute of play. When Levent Vahdet fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erzincan FK's protests and gave Levent Vahdet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, one of Erzincan FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Erzincan FK. In the 41st minute, Galatasaray SK got a penalty, and Arslan Türk placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. 45 minutes into the game, one of Erzincan FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediz Taha made a kick off. Atilla Tezalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedih Günaydın in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mehmet Sertuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Sertuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serkan Aktay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uğur Baybora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serkan Aktay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Mehmet Sertuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Sertuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serkan Aktay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Erzincan FK's goal looked a bit too open when Burç İltemiz came free, but Serkan Aktay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serkan Aktay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Sertuğ in the 69th minute of play. Atilla Tezalp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ediz Taha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 72 minute of play. If Uğur Baybora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uğur Baybora kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Erzincan FK getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ediz Taha hit a great ball. Mehmet Sertuğ took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serkan Aktay. Serkan Aktay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If Uğur Baybora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Ahmet Necdet Tunçbilek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Necdet Tunçbilek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Erzincan FK booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şafak Satıkbuğra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galatasaray SK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
