Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Halit Ziya Doğulu in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melih Cevdet Şerafeddin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Genclerbirligi's zone, Kutlay Uçuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melih Cevdet Şerafeddin came out of the goal and Kutlay Uçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Vehdi Başkur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beyagac's Kemalettin İlhanoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Genclerbirligi booed when Beyagac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taci Bürgehan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Semih Şahoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Semih Şahoğlus short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Kemalettin İlhanoğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

With a little luck, Genclerbirligi's Melih Cevdet Şerafeddin got control of the ball when Oğuzer Regaip tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Beyagac's Kutlay Uçuk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Kutlay Uçuk kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Beyagac booed when Genclerbirligi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hidayet Giryar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Kutlay Uçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beyagac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kutlay Uçuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kemalettin İlhanoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Selami Kerimhan went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 83 played minutes, Genclerbirligi's Sinan Yerhum shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kemalettin İlhanoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Genclerbirligi reached it. Vehdi Başkur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Vehdi Başkur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
