The supporters of Burdur SK booed when Gemlik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şevket Orsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gemlik getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Atacan Şahoğlu hit a great ball. When Doğan Kutalp came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Burdur SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doğan Kutalp couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cahit Tüzüner in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yücel Reşit saved Gemlik from getting behind. Kaan Başbuğ's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Ali Macit Seyhun - 1-2 was put on the score board in the 33rd minute. After 41 played minutes, Gemlik's Barbaros Engiay shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ali Macit Seyhun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gemlik reached it. Ali Macit Seyhun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aziz Üstüner, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Buğra Onal in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Macit Seyhun saved Burdur SK from getting behind.

The wind increased when Buğra Onal made the kick off in the second half. Burdur SK's Ali Macit Seyhun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Burdur SK from getting a goal against them. When Doğan Kutalp came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Burdur SK fans jumped to their feet. When Atalan Akartürk fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burdur SK's protests and gave Atalan Akartürk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Atalan Akartürk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aziz Üstüner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ali Macit Seyhun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Üstüner got free with Ali Macit Seyhun in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Doğan Kutalp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yücel Reşit. Gemlik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doğan Kutalp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 80th match minute, Gemlik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serkan Değer to maneuver through the defense. Ali Macit Seyhun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buğra Onal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Gemlik. Kaan Başbuğ stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ali Macit Seyhun. 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gemlik walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
