Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, one of Edremit:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Yıldıray Akçay, was totally fooled by KONYASPOR's Mustafa Anıl Erkılıç, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faik Sarıalp in the 10th minute of play forced KONYASPOR's goalkeeper Mehmet Bedri Özveri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Faik Sarıalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edremit's Barlas Seralp got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Faik Sarıalp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Bedri Özveri. KONYASPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faik Sarıalp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With an all-out effort, KONYASPOR's Yıldıray Akçay threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Çağrı Reca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edremit's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Ahmet Çağrı Reca scored to the left of an out of position Yıldıray Akçay, making the score, 2-1. Yıldıray Akçay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Çağrı Reca in the 28th minute of play. Orbay Hançer hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Barlas Seralp struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Mehmet Bedri Özveri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edremit. Orbay Hançer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yıldıray Akçay came out and tried to block the shot, but Orbay Hançer slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 40th minute. If Ediz Taymaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orbay Hançer in the 46th minute of play forced Edremit's goalkeeper Yıldıray Akçay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, KONYASPOR's İdris Kalagay got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Yıldıray Akçay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nusrettin Baysungur in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Edremit's goal looked a bit too open when Orbay Hançer came free, but Yıldıray Akçay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, KONYASPOR's Mehmet Bedri Özveri got control of the ball when Barlas Seralp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barlas Seralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes KONYASPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yüksel Ayık who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in İzzet Öztarhan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Faik Sarıalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Bedri Özveri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faik Sarıalp ran back to his position shaking his head. Edremit's Barlas Seralp quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Reşat Temizöz, made in the 91st minute of the game. Ediz Taymaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mehmet Bedri Özveri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The KONYASPOR support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
