The GALATASARAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Halil İbrahim Atlıhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulusi Alptekin having to interfere. Göktan Oncubay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Hulusi Alptekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Halit Ziya Özilter came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halit Ziya Özilter couldn't finish the play. If Halit Ziya Özilter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halit Ziya Özilter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hulusi Alptekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göktan Oncubay, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Kandemir Vefik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KARABÜK the free kick. The supporters of KARABÜK booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kandemir Vefik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Halil İbrahim Atlıhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Halil İbrahim Atlıhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halil İbrahim Atlıhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hulusi Alptekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktan Oncubay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Halil İbrahim Atlıhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in KARABÜK's zone, Halil İbrahim Atlıhan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hulusi Alptekin came out of the goal and Halil İbrahim Atlıhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The KARABÜK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GALATASARAY were winning 0-1.

57 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Göktan Oncubay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hulusi Alptekin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kaptan Bekata hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Tuncay Özkent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faik Timur having to interfere. Mustafa Oğuz Atlıoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Halit Ziya Özilter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Halil İbrahim Atlıhan. When Halil İbrahim Atlıhan came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halil İbrahim Atlıhan couldn't finish the play. Tuncay Özkent might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faik Timur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tuncay Özkent ran back to his position shaking his head. Halit Ziya Özilter kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Tuncay Özkent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faik Timur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Halit Ziya Özilter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes of play, GALATASARAY's Halil İbrahim Atlıhan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hulusi Alptekin was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktan Oncubay in the 97th minute of play forced KARABÜK's goalkeeper Hulusi Alptekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KARABÜK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GALATASARAY were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
