Mürsel Semih showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özcan Bican, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 9th minute, Özcan Bican fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 11 minutes, Barış Uğuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzurumspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barış Uğuz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Barış Uğuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 21 minutes, Barış Uğuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, Samatya JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Battal Seyyit Ökmen to maneuver through the defense. Özcan Bican received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mürsel Semih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Gökhun Akçakoca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Anıl Ege Çakır made a precise shot to the right of Giray Mürşit. Samatya JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Samatya JK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Erzurumspor were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Özcan Bican made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, one of Erzurumspor:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Samatya JK a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Egemen Yaltır, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Erzurumspor's Mürsel Semih. 1-1. In the 63rd minute, Mirkelam Zati made a precise shot to the right of Mürsel Semih. Erzurumspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Barış Uğuz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dursun Yerel hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Egemen Yaltır took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mürsel Semih. In the 80th minute, Egemen Yaltır got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mirkelam Zati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anıl Ege Çakır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Barış Uğuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giray Mürşit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Özcan Bican managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samatya JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Özcan Bican was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mürsel Semih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samatya JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
